Anholt Offshore Wind Farm

Four years ago, I had the opportunity to work in the largest Wind Farm in Denmark, the Anholt Wind Farm. It consists of 111 wind turbines in the Kattegat, between Djursland and Anholt Island.

I was part of the team that was responsible to ensure that those erected turbines are well supported by monopiles foundations which are covered in rocks to prevent the damage caused by scouring. Cables are also partially covered and protected by rock covers.

Working with wind farms will always be my favorite Subsea Rock Installation project. Picture those turbines in the middle of the sea. While it look calmly withstanding the current and the wind, it conveys human technological advancement and commitment to sustainable energy.
